Whats "Neo standard"
I play startrek in SE4G and while trying a few
new downloaded races I found one that had + Neo
standard on the graphics viewer page.
I tried to check out the difference but couldn't
find an answer. It plays fine with normal races
so is it just a graphics update?

Re: Whats "Neo standard"
The neostandard is a set of extended images.
If you take that neostandard race, and look at the Baseships, you should see that they have a unique image for it.
The regular races reuse the starbase image instead.
Now, the neostandard images do become much more useful in mods, where you will start seeing the infantry, worldships, massive fighters, resource stations and others be used.

Re: Whats "Neo standard"
Extra ships and base images for use with some mods. A ship set that is Neo Standard has these extra ships and bases included.
There is a neo standard site as well. http://www.dogscoff.co.uk/neostand.htm

*dogscoff opens his mouth to answer, then sees S_J and AT's responses and shuts it again.

My favourite neo-standard size is Juggernought.

Re: Whats "Neo standard"
I like infantry best.
BTW, Juggernaught is not a neostandard size.

Yeah... that link proves my point, not yours. As does this one: Exhibit B
