Seeking : Graphic Artist

Hey, I'm in need of a single image, a couple of sizes.

I need a racial emblem for the Ilythiiri, a race I play offline and in an SE4 based RP community (Legacies). As soon as PBW is up, I'll be playing them there too.

I need a message board icon, and the two sizes of racial emblem needed for the game.

Basicly, it will need to look SOMETHING like the icon I now have.
I need a stylized spider, on a spider web, with a purple background.
Important colors are, of course, black and purple. The race IS dark elves after all.
I dont care how elaborate it is, I just am hoping someone can help me out and give me somehting a little better than what I've come up with.

I think what you have is aleady pretty nice.

But, depending on what kind of "tinkering" mood I'm in (and for anyone else seeking more info)...

(1) What sizes specifically;
(2) What graphic format;
(3) Any other info that might be helpful; and
(4) Must it be symetrical?

ok, the largest one will be the icon for message Boards
jpg format since its the smallest file format
I think 60 pixels by 60 pixels should do, I know Fyron's board uses a 64 pixel maximum, Legacies is 100, and this one... this board resizes if necessary.

the other two will be bmp's since I need them as part of the ilythiiri_main.bmp of the Se4 Gold shipset I am assembling for them.
actual sizes are; 26x18 pixels, and 14x10 pixels

symetrical isnt important really. I am just looking for something eye pleasing, and appropriate.
the race themselves are dark elves, or more appropriately, Drow. Dark, evil, spider worshipping, hate filled, reclusive.
The tech level I role play them at is equivalent to a full tech game of Se4G, and their racial emblems are painted onto their ship hulls, since it is not only their flag, but the symbol of their ancient goddess as well.
like I have already said, the color I've chosen to represent them in game is a dark purple, and that color along with black is what I am thinking for their emblem. I wont give the hex code for the exact purple, as I will base the exact shade I use in the game on the shade used in the emblem.

and actualy, I had seen YOUR icon a while ago, and that got me started on designing an icon/racial emblem of my own, so I am utterly overjoyed that you might be able to help me out.

Hey, don't despair.

I haven't forgotten you.

Your graphic already looks good. I have in my mind 2 ideas. ONE is to try to improve on what you have already.

The SECOND one is a different approach...it deals with having the spider in the corner and the web in the opposite corner.

The problem, in my mind, is the restriction on the size...doesn't leave much for artistic work....

But, I'll try to come up with something...if you don't like it, NP, at least someone tried, right?

Exactly.

I found THIS image on a website, but havent been able to reach them to get "official" permission to use it. And because its not something created just for the Ilythiiri, well you know we all want our races to be original. hehehehe.
