At least not 9 glassed large HW planets and 200 ships (ship limit, I didn't remember raise it) orbiting the Last HW 50 turns wasn't enough to drop people happiness below Angry. So perhaps I'm right after all

Re: Does homeworld riot?
Well, I emailed MM about this, and here is the response:
Quote:
A homeworld will never riot. Their anger will go up but it maxes out at 80% (where 100% is required to riot). We had to impose this during beta testing because a newly started empire would have its one homeworld riot and that player's game would effectively be over.
|
A planet designated as your HW cannot ever riot. But, if the HW is glassed, then recolonized, it can then be capable of rioting, as it is no longer a HW.

Re: Does homeworld riot?
Isn't "Homeworld" a colony type (like "mineral planet"). Would designating a planet as a homeworld be a cheesy way to stop a planet from rioting?

Re: Does homeworld riot?
I don't think that works Spoo. You could try testing it though. I think there is probably a special flag that is set to true for homeworld planets at the start of the game.

Re: Does homeworld riot?
I had homeworlds riot in a v1.78 PBW. Massive enemy ships in systems. Lost colonies. No ships of my own. etc etc.
Perhaps this is new to v1.84.

You can add Homeworld as a new colony type but it doesn't work like homeworld. As Fyron said there is probably some kind of special flag for original homeworlds.

Re: Does homeworld riot?
The answer I got from MM implies that you can not create new "homeworlds" mid-game.
