Default Race question - mining

Let's say I capture a planet with a high mineral value and a race which has a superior mining aptitude.

Further assume, my race has an average mining aptitude.

All other things being equal (same atmosphere etc), would it be better to leave the captured race on the planet?

In other words, would they produce more minerals than my race?

Default Re: Race question - mining

Makes no difference. The aliens will be as lazy at mining as your own population. The only attribute they retain is their native atmosphere and their happiness penalty for being aliens.
