Game lesson / Life Lesson
When you are in an area where the enemy can target you, dismount your passenger troops or they will be dismounted the hard way

Very wise comment DRG! Even if you or the vehicle your riding on doesn't get hit, riders will usually dismount automatically when fired upon, so you have nothing to lose.
That video showed it the hard way. It was pretty graphic! Short and sweet. Thanks for posting.

Re: Game lesson / Life Lesson
Tank riding is fine, until you get within weapons range.
Of course that use to be apx. 500m ... now it's more like 5km.

Re: Game lesson / Life Lesson
Standard buy for me is a few support HMG sections in WW2, since the AI then likes tank riders. Used to hose down any clusters of tanks and watch the damaged infantry fall off them...
Also, since HMG units are a moderate priority for the AI (as with ATG, ATGM etcetera) for plotting its arty calls, they distract his arty onto stuff I dont really care much about (and have positioned well away from my core!) - so I get information as to where his on-map mortars are hiding.

Re: Game lesson / Life Lesson
Those follow on videos were even better! Sheesh, automated grenadiers, what's a good soldier to do, nowadays?
Oh that rhythmic rock & roll guitar made the video different from the norm, it gave the video a heavy metal kick in a**. Thanks Again!

Re: Game lesson / Life Lesson
HMG Teams and Sniper teams work well together not just to inflict casualties but also to raise enemy suppression. It makes the line infantry's job much easier and they can usually be positioned outside the range of regular rifle fire
