Mine Scrap/Self Destruct Bug
I'm playing a standard 1.41 simultaneous game, and I can't seem to self-destruct any of my mine fields. This is a serious issues, as I've maxed out my total number of mines and need to make room for new fields. Has anyone else seen this?
A message saying that the maximum units has been reached would be nice, too.

Re: Mine Scrap/Self Destruct Bug
yes. only way to get rid of them is to have a friendly race sweep them, but that might mean they have to break their treay frist. you might be able to bring a ship in and use the 'fire on' command, but i have not tried that yet.

Re: Mine Scrap/Self Destruct Bug
Put one of your ships in each minefield and trade them to an enemy
------------------
Assume you have a 1kg squirrel
E=mc^2
E=1kg(3x10^8m/s)^2=9x10^16J
which, if I'm not mistaken, is equivilent to roughly a 50 megaton nuclear bomb.
Fear the squirrel.

That won't necessarily work either, if a minesweeper starts its turn in an enemy minefield, it won't do any sweeping, even if you give it the minesweeping order. If it leaves and reenters, it probably will be destroyed unless it can sweep all of the mines at once.

Re: Mine Scrap/Self Destruct Bug
Can mines be recovered by a minelayer, to be relaunched elsewhere?
