Banefire
Is there any protection against banefire, beyond insanely high armor? FR, undead, lifeless, ethereal?

Re: Banefire
Test Luck. It should prevent the damage 50% of the time, but not the Decay effect.

Re: Banefire
Mistform. The first hit is reduced to single point of damage, but the mistform is dispelled. Good way to get your chaff in range, not so good if you rely on few thugs.
When fighting LA C'tis, always cast Fog Warriors on first turn.

Anyone know if FR protects vs Banefire Brand's banefire effect? How useful is Banefire Brand vs Flame or Frost - worth the extra cost in any case? Thanks.

Re: Banefire
Banefire brand? If you are talking about shadow brand, then the secondary effect is leeching darkness, not banefire and FR doesn't protect. It has AoE 5, so it's better then fire or frost brand.

Heh, thats what I get when I am shopping with the wife and sitting in the waiting room using the iPhone to ask questions about Dominions off the top of my head
Thanks Psycho, you were right, I meant the Shadow Brand. Sounds effective.

Re: Banefire
MR protects against the leeching darkness from Shadow Brand, right?
