From the Codex of Hidden Lore
Esoteric and obscure, there are tantalizing things in these fragments of lore...
Quote:
A reference to "Wyrm Lords" said:
"The caster opens his mind and reaches out to dragons and serpents across the world. The calling is strong enough to constantly force serpents, drakes and wyverns to come to the caster in servitude. However, true dragons are not seduced by the call. Instead, they are made aware of the presence of the impostor."

Re: From the Codex of Hidden Lore
Lol!
Here goes the problems with giving an uninitiated access to source code to work with and then encourage them to leak tidbits and teasers
The spell to that description does not exist. That is the predecessor of the less fun Dragon Master. There are probably other spells in there that does not exist. Vafur Flames should be one (originally the enchanted flames that surrounded and protected Asgrd).
Sorry Edi!
Do not trust the spell descriptions. I have put some there that never were incorporated in the game. Some are made into comments, but not all I'm afraid.
Edit: Unit descriptions are a lot more realible.

You know that you can actually delete the post entirely from the "Edit" screen, right?

Re: From the Codex of Hidden Lore
Depending on its age, yes. And since Im a moderator, even more leniency. But its better in this case to leave an apologetic note in case it was seen.

Re: From the Codex of Hidden Lore
Some would say that Gandalf, but technically I think it depends more on the size of the game.

LOL, this looks very much like
*apprentice gets his hands on an advanced tome of knowledge*
*"Hmm, this here looks interesting, I wonder what it-"*
*KA-BOOM*
Noted about the spells. Most non-working things actually did have comments, so I thought this would be an advanced form of Dragon Master. Ah, well...

Re: From the Codex of Hidden Lore
*bandages burnt fingers*
And THIS time I shall NOT be led astray by tantalizing decoys! Grr!
Quote:
On the Cult of the Solar Bull:
"The Cult of the Solar Bull is one of the many mystery cults that have become common in the late days of the Empire. It is very popular among the soldiers of the Limes and most of its higher members are former soldiers or Centurions. Leo is a title given to a member of the Cult of the Solar Bull. The Lion receives training in in solar magic and leads simpler ceremonies. The Leo is gifted with solar inspiration and is partially resistant to fire. Leos command great respect among the soldiers of the Limes, even those not members of the Cult. The ritual practices of the Leo lead worshippers astray and can lower the Dominion of the True God. The Leo can be distinguished by his golden plumage and an emblazoned sun on his chest."

Re: From the Codex of Hidden Lore
Fomoria is starting to become one of my biggest new favorites by far and I've not even really seen much of it...
Quote:
On the Nemedians of Rath Chimbalth:
"The Nemedians have merged the old magical traditions of their Partholonian ancestors and the magic of their Fomorian masters. Sorceresses skilled in Death and Air magic hide in the dark spires of Rath Chimbalth where they summon whispering shades of mist and darkness."
