Oracle/Blood Fountain
There was a lot in the Oracle/Blood Fountain pretender discription about posession, but I can't seem to find out how it works in-game. Is it just flavour text? The only reason I'm really asking is that the text would suggest the pretender can use 'posessed people' to forge items, and for me they have no way of forging.

Re: Oracle/Blood Fountain
Yes, flavor text. They are inanimate objects, so forging or even speaking would be impossible, so they possess people to do it. It's not a game mechanic.

Re: Oracle/Blood Fountain
They can use commander commands such as "Forge item" or
"Cast a Ritual Spell" even though they are inanimate. All inanimate commanders are capable of doing this, but it's still mentioned in some descriptions.

Re: Oracle/Blood Fountain
I think it was just to keep people from asking "how can a fountain... etc etc"

I understand that, but they can't use the 'forge' command anyways.
Ah, well. It would've been a pretty cool take on gameplay if you automatically got an 'avatar' unit as your prophet. Perhaps she'd spread dominion faster than others. Ah well, thanks for the answers!

Re: Oracle/Blood Fountain
They should be able to forge. Both Oracle and Blood Fountain start with magic ability, and every mage in the game can forge items.
