Default **** EA

I have been at war with them for over 100 turns. They declared war on me after I met one of their colony ships (which I did not attack). They are like all the way across the galaxy. It took me 15 turns to get a fleet over to them to fight. refueled the first few systems that belonged to my allie, then had to cross unfriendly systems of races that had most of their ships off fighting the colonials so they let my fleet pass unharmed, which was good because I was out of supplies at this time. My hungry crew keep to the mission and finally entered EA systems. Lucky for them that my spies convinced the EA homeworld to switch sides. (this was 60 turns ago). this gave my lone fleet a place to dock and make raids from. I have been stealling 50k supplies every turn from them, yet they refuse to surrender. It is almost like they have a second homeworld somewhere. They keep sending small fleets to test the island defenses. I sent two other fleets to help them and one fleet to take a couple of planets in other areas to set up a way to hop ships across to the war zone. Which now has the EA fighting me, the colonials and the rage. The colonials are fighting me, the EA, the RAGE and the EEE. My lone fleet is fighting the colonials and the AE. Planets in the war zone switch owners so fast that no one can build anything on them. I am determined to hold onto the EA homeworld at all cost. I can not get them to surrender for nothing.
The sad thing is the Pong have made allies of all of us and have colonized planets in every system. Parking a fleet over My outer planet, the EEE's ouher planet and the colonials ouher planet. That was 50 turns ago. They remain happy and seem to hold on to 4th place. The EEE have taken first place since they are not fighing much which 2,3 and 5th keep switching between me, the AE and the colonials. All three of us are hiiting each other with ship conVersion intells and not one of us has a single fleet that does not contain 5 or more ships of another race.
(ps we all started with a single homeworld, so I still do not know why the AE have not crummbled).

Oh, man the new patch just put this battle on hold. The AE have errors.

Sounds like they are being their usual stubborn self. I can never stay out of a war with them. No matter what I do, 2-3 turns after I meet them they declare war on me. Glad to know I'm not the only one they don't like.

To get someone to surrender, I think you have to hold a majority of their planets, not just their homeworld.
If you want to defeat them fast, built lots of light crusiers equiped with a cloak, quantum reactor and a star destroying weapon. Cloak the crusiers, then just go through their systems and blow them away.

Sounds like you have a long and bloody road ahead of you.

The krill surrendered as soon as I blockaded their homeworld early in the game. they had twice the number of planets that I did, they just didn't have very meny ships. All their planets had wp's and sat's.

As for getting cruisers to the AE planet's, It takes 15 turns for any of my ships to get to the war zone from my systems. This is why None of the fighters in this war have made any attacks against my systems.
if I send them one by one, they get picked off. If I send them as a fleet, they run out of supplies and then have to limp to the only stronghold I can maintain in the area. I could just pull out but (little role play here) My forces demand we fight on. And fight on we must.

The Draconian Empire shall stand strong this day!

War update, the xi'chung have decided to join the war. Every race I have met is now in this war except the pong. They seems to be sticking with colonization, every turn they colonize a unclaimed planet and they can planet hop since they have pacts with everyone at this time.

The LC I posted about needs no resupply because of the quantum reactor. Just build one, cloak it and send after the nearest enemy system.

What I also do is build crusiers with a repair bay, QR or sollar pannels, and one or two warp point closeing components. I then use it to seal off my core systems from everyone else, then destroying any enemy colonies in the contained area. After awhile, when I have a massive spacy (space navy), i'll build a ship that can open and close warp points, and use it to send my fleets into any of my enemy's systems.
The bonus of sealing of my systems is that no one can spy on me.
