Ship Names
Does anybody have a list of some good ship names to use?
Not class names, but individual ship names.

Re: Ship Names
Try searching for ship names. There are a lot for WWII ships. Like the Nimtz, YorkTown....

Re: Ship Names
Jane's Warship Recognition Guide is a great source for names. Ships are broken into classes with complete shiplists for each class. Every countries naval forces are included. The 1999 one is available at Amazon.com for around 18 bucks. An excellent source for shipnames.

Re: Ship Names
Didn't somebody here once say they had a list?
All I want is a text file full of name ideas for my ships, since I'm always either racking my brains for them, or just leaving the number names.

Re: Ship Names
I have four such files dealing with ship names from the Second World War. One each for carriers, battleships, cruisers and destroyers. I'll post them in the Mod section.

Re: Ship Names
Check out the Downloads section at my site. I believe its in the Data section. I have a file with a ton of ship names in it. I think its in Word 97, if thats a problem, I can copy it to word, and repost it for download.
