Thanks from a new player
I just wanted to say thanks for the wealth of information that's posted on this forum. After looking at the new user thread and examining the links I've been able to get a much better grasp on playing SEIV.
I'm still looking over the different mods, which will probably be a project for awhile.

Welcome! I haven't been around as long as these cats, but would recommend Fyron's Quadrant Mod as a starting point. FQM irons out a few problems without changing the basic nature of the game.
Just remember to get the image mod packs including - component, facility and planet packs. All of these can be found at spaceempires dot net. Look at the grey bar at the top at the hosted sites buttons.

Wildcard, I've grabbed all the image mod packs, and have put them in. I'm still figuring out which mods actually make use of them.
