Create fleet leads to computer crash?
Has anyone else out there had this problem: Last night, I had a problem wherein when I hit Create fleet the game and my computer both hung, hard. Computer had to be rebooted. It was reproducible, at the same spot every time. I could move on to the next fleet if I deleted (or merged) some other fleets. For every fleet slot I opened up in this manner, I was able to create another fleet, but then hung after going beyond that limit. Eventually I was able to do my turn by merging every single fleet I could find other than the ones I was moving at the time. Note, in total, I had maybe 20-30 fleets. Certainly not the maximum. BUT, the next-to-Last fleet I created was always named ' Fleet' (in other words, it lacked the Alpha-Zeta naming scheme entirely). Final note: this was in the AnkleBiter game maybe for some reason its local to that game or that mod?
So, it seems pretty clear to me that the fleet naming scheme does have an upper bound, and when that bound is breached, the game has some overflow (or similar) problems.
Has anyone else out there had similar problems?
If one of the Moderators thinks this is worth reporting to MM to make sure it doesnt make it into SE5, then feel free

I don't think it was releated to SE IV. Possibly it was just a one time graphics card glitch or something that resulted in your hang - crash.

Yeah, I was able to reproduce it exactly at the same point each time. Then, when I deleted or merged a fleet somewhere else, then I could reproduce the bug exactly one more fleet slot later, again, as many times as I wanted. And, i think it was always right after the Last fleet was named ' fleet' (ie: no name for the fleet, just 'fleet').
I wonder if anyone else in anklebiters has had this problem.
Not that it really matters, just wondered if MM knows about it so they might want to set a higher limit on the number of fleet name slots for SE5...

I know that there are other problems with fleet naming, if somehow two fleets get's the same name one get's hard to find or something like that...

Even if MM knew about it it may be good to send them the save game and instructions on how to reproduce the bug. It might come in handy for SEV programming and making sure it doesn't happen there.
