Unit limit is definitely working
Sign the petition! 2000 units just isn't enough. More units, more units, more units!
Just started emergency building fighters at a couple of poorly defended planets when I got the message about reaching the 2000 unit limit. Time to scrap some fighters.
My poor, poor empire. It's just turn 75.
I suppose I'm the only fighter fanatic who wants to repeal prohibtion, err, the 2000 unit limit?

Re: Unit limit is definitely working
You can raise it to 5000, and set it as such in the settings.txt file.

Re: Unit limit is definitely working
You're the man! Thanks!
High on my wish list is gonna be some way of counting all these units so I don't have to pull out my calculator so I can figure out how many to scrap.
I may have to modify the game so that fighters are more expensive and take longer to build.

Re: Unit limit is definitely working
Hmmm, well it is nice to know that the game design is working to spec on this, but is there some reason why we can't have more units?
As long as you have the computer resources, why not a higher limit? Only 5k sounds kinda measly for a vast stellar empire.
Yeah, I know I suck, I still had to ask.

Re: Unit limit is definitely working
Why not have a "no limit" option?
------------------
Assume you have a 1kg squirrel
E=mc^2
E=1kg(3x10^8m/s)^2=9x10^16J
which, if I'm not mistaken, is equivilent to roughly a 50 megaton nuclear bomb.
Fear the squirrel.

Not sure Spoo, but RCE may be why.
