Re: Battle of Three armies
2 of the nations will fight each other first, and then the winner will fight the 3rd nation.
Giving this is a neutral territory to all 3 nations, which 2 nations fight first is I believe randomly determined. Factors such as army composition, e.g. size and mobility, may come into play, although I am unsure of the specifics if they do.

Re: Battle of Three armies
If *3* nations move into a territory, one nation will fight the independents, a second nation will fight the winner of that battle, and then the third nation will fight the winner of the second battle.

Most gamers already know this.
What most are wondering would be what variables determine who fights when ??
does an army of flying units always fight first?
does map movement considered in the formula for who fights first?
does the size of the army make a difference the same as when two armies are marching towards each other?

Re: Battle of Three armies
According to the developers, it is "random". Please note that "random" is in quotes. This is because in developer-speak, when they say something is "random", and decline to elaborate further, what they really mean is "an unscrutable process that will appear random to all casual observation and may indeed contain a random element, but works upon other principles usually malign in nature".
