Default Great Games for 2003

I have included a short list of some of the games I have bought this year and would enjoy seeing how you rate them.

I really have to say that after the dismal failure of MOO3, Galactic Civilizations was a welcome and unexpected surprise. I really enjoyed the game, even though it got boring after a while, it was a well designed and fun game to play.

Sim City 4 standard was a dissapointment to say the least, but Rush Hour was a great game and made SC4 what it should have been to begin with.

Unreal II just sucked *** as did EF II.

Gee, when I took the poll, I answered the questions the only way I could.. 'I never played this game'. I thought I would be the odd man out, not having played any of the six games. But lo and behold, when I view the results, I am a member of the vast majority.

Although I will eventually pick up a copy of GalCiv, the other games on your list hold little or no interest for me.

Atrocities, are the poll results what you expected?

Cheers!

That was my reaction too ! I never played any of those games and was sure I am a minority, but NO !

I'm surprised more people hasn't played GalCiv. It's a great game, and is moddable also. If you don't like the stock game, just d/l some of the mods they have. It makes the game more interesting. I'll go ahead and say it's my most favorite game of this year, although I'm still waiting for Railroad Tycoon 3 and Civ III: Conquests to come out. Once they come out, I may not play SEIV Gold on a regular basis for awhile. Although I do play it when I'm d/l stuff, since it doesn't seem to take up too much memory (I have 256 meg RAM) and it passes the time.

I have to agree. The game is a really a game of the year for me as well. Nothing thus far has come close to its quality and game play. Support is great as is the community.

The game looks good, has a lot of cool features.

To bad more people haven't tried it.

Now if we could combine the best of GalCiv with SEIV and a few of the SEV ideas - that would be the game of the year for many years to come.
