Oh I have been busy
I was showing my nephews how to make things using DOGA and we started to make some nice looking things.
In the Last hour I have made 15 new bases (3 sets neo stnadard)
and 20 Troops (4 sets neo standard)
I think I will go to make a few more then move onto weapon platforms, mines, satellites, fighters, and perhaps worldships.
I figure if I create enough extra images I can have a Spare Parts Site.

Re: Oh I have been busy
What is DOGA? I have done a little bit of 3-D modeling with Milkshape, but most of the popular 3-D programs are way too expensive.

Re: Oh I have been busy
DOGA is a 3d program with a set of pre-made parts you use like ghostly legos.
http://www.wings3d.com/ is another free modeler.

Re: Oh I have been busy
Say, what kinds of 3D models can you import into DOGA to use as Legos? Perhaps some of us who like to model things but can never quite get up to an entire shipset could create a real "spare parts bin" for those of you who use Doga to create shipsets!
edit: oh yeah, and then we could even use these Legos as component images, so the ships look like they're actually made out of components, kind of like how the Darlok ships seems to actually have engines that look like SE4's engines!
