Order of destroying WPs?
What is the order Weapon Platforms are destroyed? Does it have sense building Large WP, containing 14 PSG-V (with 5250 shield points) + some other WP containig weapons? With the idea that shielded WP protects armed one.
Still shielded WP is better than Massive Planetary Shielding. Or maybe Large WP, containing 19 Organic Armor-III, is better? BTW, does Organic Armor regenerates damage inflicted to other WP, but on the same planet?

Re: Order of destroying WPs?
Ganerally, for units, it's first on -- first hit. There may be some randomness though.
A shielded wp is a good idea, it at least protects the planet, but its more useful to hit back -- add some weapons to each.
There's nothing wrong with the massive planetary shield, it's just time consumeing to build for the protection it gives.
Organinc armor, IIRC, doesn't regenerate on units.
Remember, if you're playing the AI, it appears it can see the fire power you have in cargo, and will plan a fleet accordingly -- or just skip it for less defended worlds.

Re: Order of destroying WPs?
The weapon platform with the least amount of hit points is destroyed first. Shield points just count as hit points for that matter.

Doesn't that apply to all units in cargo? Or are the Weapon Platforms hit before Troops and other units?

Doesn't that apply to all units in cargo? Or are the Weapon Platforms hit before Troops and other units? From my observations, all units in cargo on a planet are hit in ascending order from smallest to largest. It's a real pain when you play solo and the AI has 30 mines in cargo with multiple Weapon platforms, as your ships shoot out the mines, the weapon platforms shoot out your ships.
