I was planning to get some of that special paper for my inkjet and print out some Viking & Valkyrie T-shirts for myself. Then I thought I might as well share the files and set up a "print your own Vikings merchandise" page on my website=-) I doubt that anyone else would want to wear wear one, but I thought I'd do it anyway, just for the craic...
Anyway, while I was making up the viking T-shirt designs, I came up with some non-viking designs as well, using standard SE4 images (Race Portraits etc). Obviously this raises copyright issues, and I imagine MM / Shrapnel would be rather upset if I started generating unofficial SE4 merchandise. However I want to make these pictures available for viewing because I like them, and because I think others might like them, and also to see if there's enough demand for us to start campaigning for *official* merch=-)
Shrapnel, what is your position on this? I'd like people to see what I've done, but I don't want to
cause trouble. If you / Malfador (who would have the rights to merchandising?) really disapprove,
I won't upload the images or circulate them at all. I can mail you the images if you want to see them before deciding (Or if you want to buy them off me - lol!
). How about if I were to publish only low-res images that aren't suitable for print?
I plan to upload the Viking and Valkyrie designs this evening (GMT) to the address in my sig. Uploading of the "unnofficial" designs is pending an official response to this message.
