blockade............

Hey... what's blockading do anyways? and how do you do it? I've seen before that one of my planets and one of an enemies planets were blockaded. I'm sure one of ya'll know what it does. Any help would be good. Thanks!

Blockades prevents the transfer of Resources to the Main Empire coffers.

Also Blockading Homeworlds increase population anger... I think.

You can still build Units and Ships as long as you have a Space Yard.

Edit: You can create a blockade by:
1. set a ship class strategy to Don't get hurt, send the ship to the planet, go strategic battle, and get a fast blockade.

2. send ships into the enemy planet, go into tactical battle, do anything you want to do to the planet (or not do anything to it at all) but don't destroy the planet.

When a planet is blockaded, you cannot get any resources from that planet nor can your enemy if you blockade one of theirs. I also think it causes the chances for riots to increase in that system as well. I'm not too sure on that.

Has anyone else noticed that this does not seem to work in SE4 Gold anymore. They few times I've tried to do this in gold my ships attacked the planet and died.

No it works.

You still have to destroy whatever garrison the planet has.

You can set the strategy by going into ship designs, click the stats strategy tab and set the default strategy to don't get hurt.
