Default About Load cost

I have some question about Load cost on Encyclopedia screen. The Game Manual says the following
----
This says something is heavier than average, 0 for squads means only the men are factored, but say a .50 MMG section with Load cost of 1, will cost roughly 12 lift points, and tanks with load cost in the 24 ton class, need barges to carry. A 57mm AT gun with load Cost of 2 requires a vehicle with a 1XX Lift Capacity, and a 3 inch AT gun with Load Cost 3 needs a fair sized truck to tow it.
----
However, when I checked USA encyclopedia, MMG section (173)'s Load cost is 0, 57mm AT gun (40)'s is 1 and also 3 inch AT gun (98)'s is 1. What happen?? What is Load cost?

Load cost is the "weight" of a unit plus the number of men when it's a team weapon like your examples.

In the case of the MMG section (unit 173) the carry cost / load cost is 8......... zero counted for the weapon plus the 8 man crew. The load cost for the 57mm at gun would be 1 for the gun plus 5 for the crew = 6

However, in the Encyclopedia screen what's showing as "load cost" is actually just the "weight" which is why you see 1 for the 57 at gun..that's it's weight. You need to add the weight to the number of men to get true "load cost"

Those rules only apply for team weapons........ infantry "load cost" is the number of men and a vehicle is just it's weight and really should be named "weight".. we would need three formulas tied to every unit class to properly display the true "load cost"

Therefore, load costs on encyclopedia is correct, and those on the game manual is incorrect, isn't it?

I'll have to look at the relevant section of the game guide and today is not a good do for me but as I said above "in the Encyclopedia screen what's showing as "load cost" is actually just the "weight". True "load cost" for a team weapon like a MMG/HMG or AT gun would be weapon+men but load cost for an infantry unit is just the number of men and if you look at an infantry unit in the encyclopedia it will show a load cost of zero....... that's the "weight".....so the line in the encyclopedia that says "load cost" should read " weight"
