Where is the Manual (AATF)
Where is the PDF manual located? Does it even exist.
I played the tutorial and training missions but still have some details to figure out.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
Try looking in the folder you installed the game into. Probably C:/Program Files/Shrapnel Games/AATF.
It should be there as a pdf file.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
There should also be a shortcut to the manual on your start menu in the "Armored Task Force" folder.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
There is no manual in AATF in my case. I looked at all the folders. And in the start menu there is no option.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
I don't own AATF, but I do own The Star and the Crescent. I got mine by digital download and when I unzipped the games files there was a folder created that said "Manual". It is not in the folder where the game was installed but in the folder the zip file unzipped in to.
If you got the game on a CD I suspect the manual is in a separate folder on the disk - just a guess though.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
What operating system? After WinXP windows started doing strange things with game files.
If someone knows the exact name of the file you could search for it

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
Windows 7. I installed outside Program Files.
I searched for all PDF files but nothing about AATF.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
I'm in a similar situation with The Star and the Crescent and The Falklands War - I've installed them on my Win7 box and I can't find any PDF manuals, just the Tutorial HTML files and the general ATF Readme.rtf file.
Any help finding the pdf manual files, if there were any, would be appreciated.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
The manual for The Star and The Crescent is in a folder called Manual and the pdf file itself is just called Manual. As I said a few posts above, in the digital download version, it was not installed into any game folders, it just comes with a bundle of things that are unzipped when you unzip the zip file - so it stays in whatever folder you unzipped to.
I suspect therefore that the manual is on the dist and needs to be copied over manually if you want it on your hard drive.

Re: Where is the Manual (AATF)
Ah thanks for that Dave, the Manual directory isn't installed, but is part of the distribution inside the ZIP file you download.
