Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
Hello folks,
So I have the monolith armor in a game I am playing, and want to build a pimp SC with it.
I also have a wish comming up. what do yous recommend as the best 0 Encumberence SC that I can wish for? Or would it be better to just get a chayot or a sereph and save the armor for when I finally get my tart demilich engine warmed up (in 5-6 turns, and no way to cure them)?

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
you could just not use it? its only marginally useful even on tarts because it gives anyone who wears it like 2AP

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
An Agarthan Marble Oracle would have ridiculous protection with that thing on (but miss out on the Regen). Not worth a Wish unless you're just mopping up and toying around of course.
Mostly though I'd just flog it along with flying shoes to some random Bane Lord for marginally better thugging. Like Priesty says, it's just not very good SC gear.

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
hmmm, fair play. I guess I won't plan around it and just fob it off on a tart with some flying shoes...
It looked kind of nifty .
Is its golden cousin-armor any more viable?

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
Aseftik's armor is better because it gives magic resistance. But it's still best on something with 0 encumbrance.

This armor allows you to place it on mounted units which makes it good, however, there's very few mounted units with lots of hitpoints. Still good for a knight commander type unit then have a mage nearby who casts a few buffing spells on him. It's too bad there's not more mounted units with hitpoints of 30 or higher.... I think there's one mounted pretender with lots of hitpoints.

Gift of Reason a troll moose knight. He has 40 hit points, strength 23, natural prot of 11, three attacks, and 10% regen.

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
note that for 0 encum SCs that can self buff, the two armor adds a huge amount of spell casting fatigue...

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
Yeah, I knew about the spell casting fatigue, didn't know about the taking away AP bit.
Guess I'll, sigh, build some proper armer then...

Re: Quick Question: 0 Enc. SC
I think boots of quickness double the AP. Dunno if it is before or after the reduction.
