Priest question
I can't seem to figure out what is meant by "some priests can use this to sacrifice slaves" (not an exact quote).
If I wanted to use a Jade knife I take it
A. I would have to use a Blood mage.
B. I would use a Jade knife so I can sacrifice 3 slaves.
seems easy...My trouble is playing a nation like Sauro, I can't figure out what Priests would have Blood that I can use the Jade knife with...While Witch Kings are Sacred, they are not priests.
Do I have to empower some other priest in Blood to do this, or am I just missing the obvious (as usual)

Re: Priest question
Not all nations can blood sacrifice. And you need a priest, not a mage to do so.
Give the priest some slaves in his/her inventory. Set the command to blood sacrifice.
A priest can sac up to his/her priest level. A jade knife only adds to that lvl (So it can sac priestlvl+3 slaves). It will not give the ability to any priest who didn't have that one before.

Re: Priest question
It doesn't actually take blood magic, it takes holy magic. So literally any priest can blood sacrifice. Priests with more holy magic are better blood sacrificers. Also not all nations can blood sacrifice.
Edit: blasted ninjaing ninjas.

Re: Priest question
It would be more accurate to say only a handful of nations can blood sacrifice.
Early and Late Mictlan, Vanheim, Abyssia, Maverni, any 'heim giant nation, Late Marignon, and maybe some others I cannot recall off the top of my head.

Re: Priest question
you missed Sauromatia, Bogarus, Hinnom and Gath(not 100% certain about them) and 1 or 2 of the Pangaeas(don't remember if it's only 1 that can't or can blood sac and which 1 it is). maybe a few others too. generally there are quite a few nations that can blood sac, especially in LA, so it's not too rare. in MA it's only Aby and Vanheim that can do it, so for that age it's quite rare, but in EA and LA there are plenty of nations that can do it.

Re: Priest question
And Jotunheim cannot blood sac. (neither can Niefel, or Utgard).
Same for Bogarus, a blood nation, but not blood sacrificing nation.
Not all nations with access to blood can blood sac.

Re: Priest question
Lol, this is starting to remind me of a recent episode on the other forum and IRC, where one super awesome vet and self proclaimed source of all knowledge was saying just about every nation in the game could blood sac :
Anyway, here is a complete list of all the nations that can blood sac that I compiled about a year or so ago. If a nation isn't on this list, then it can't blood sac (unless I've screwed up and left one off, but it looks about right)
Early Age
Abysia
Helheim
Hinnom
Marverni
Mictlan
Pangaea
Sauromatia
Vanheim
Middle Age
Abysia
Vanheim
Late Age
Abysia
Gath
Marignon
Mictlan
Midgard

Re: Priest question
Can confirm MA is correct.
