The Halls of Prose & Poetry (Ranked AARs)
I want to encourage more storytelling as well as more tales on how people won their games. So to do that, I'm collecting peoples after action reports (AARs) and listing them within this thread. I will then create an anonymous poll linked to each of these reports so that readers can rate them on a scale of 1 to 5. I will in turn use the polls to rank the reports.
I will also break the reports down into a couple of categories. Some reports are likely to take the very artistic route and describe an event rather then an entire game. Though not as useful, they will surely be amusing and worth reading. The types of reports I'm really after though are the reports of those who have won games here on the forums. I think everyone here would like to get into the head of a game winner and read how they did it.
I'm not really going to look for another person's report. If you want it listed here, then make a posting with a link to the report. If I get a huge influx of reports, I will likely stagger the polls here on the 'Multiplayer and AAR' forum so as to minimize spam. Please discuss particular reports in it's original thread or in the poll relating to it. Also, please present stories on real events. Artistic flourishes are welcome, but creating completely fictitious tales is not what this thread is about. Thanks and enjoy.

Here's one that Calahan did for Ruby, it has a lot of info, insights, and even a screenshot of one of his turns.

Hmm, how bout a category for team AARs? Though it might require more than a single link for each game, I'd be interested to know how players employed strategies in unison to win.
Would also like to see a separate category for team games on the Hall of Honor thread, but that is another story.

If I get submissions that fit such a category, then I will make it.

Re: The Halls of Prose & Poetry (Ranked AARs)
There was a call for AARs done by Shrapnel awhile back. Some great ones were listed in that thread.
I still think some of these people could publish their AARs. You can do it for free on the net and get very professional books from it. Id buy one. Id particularly like to see one done with the RP story on the left page while the game actions are on the right page. That way you get a book that reads like a good fantasy book, but also introduces the game in a tutorial fashion. Even better if some of the writers here teamed up with some of the great artists we have.
DISCLAIMER: as with many of my posts this is an idea which I would love to see, feel others can do well, and full acknowledge that I personally would do badly so dont bother to DIY post.

Re: The Halls of Prose & Poetry (Ranked AARs)
"Stories from the Sidelines" doesn't sound quite right as it implies little participation on the part of the player within the game.
What would be a good category name for AARs from people who didn't win their game?
