Throne of Heroes Mod
After a long period in which Worthy Heroes was not updated, I updated it with the permission and suggestions of the mod author(Turin). It was a time consuming venture, but it only updated Worthy Heroes for the Middle Era.
While there is not a ton of new heroes, there are SOME new heroes, new abilities to existing heroes that make them relevant throughout the game, and bug fixes. Since there have been threads about getting WH updated, I do want to remind players starting games, both sp and mp, for the middle era, that Throne of Heroes exists and is an update to WH 1.8 for the Middle Era. A Turin approved update.
Since the mod was released, there has been no feedback. And feedback is typically helpful in improving a mod.

Re: Throne of Heroes Mod
Does this update use those heroes that you introduced for your perceived imbalance of nations, that "strong" nations get weak heroes, and "weak" nations get better ones?

Re: Throne of Heroes Mod
I won't even consider testing a mod like this if it's limited to only a single age, since I like to play all ages when I do. I hate mod management, so anything that increases it unnecessarily is out by default.

Re: Throne of Heroes Mod
Well it could be built upon. Was it filling a gap in MA? Is there a gap now? I have some EA ideas.

Re: Throne of Heroes Mod
1. There was no attempt to 'balance" nations by giving weaker nation stronger heroes. You are confusing mods. Very Early on, I did give weight to this factor in the Epic Heroes Mod, but was convinced by community input that it was wrong to do so. There the concept was abandoned early on even in Epic Heroes.
2. It is Middle Era only. With regret, that is all I had the time and energy to do. And it took quite a bit of time to update just the one era. It was, in my opinion, better to do a thorough job on one era, then a more scattered job on all 3 eras.
I am not sure about how much mod management is required. Use WH 1.8 for Early and late eras and Throne of Heroes for middle. In any event, I do not envision trying to extend the mod to cover the other 2 eras. At one time QM was working on an update to WH 1.8 for all 3 eras, and I invited him to use all or part of Throne of heroes to help with his update of WH for all 3 eras.
Throne of Heroes is intended as a stopgap measure to be used pending the release of WH 1.9, which would render it obsolete.
But I am not sure when that update is scheduled for release.
