Default Minor errors in Israeli OOB

Names:
1)Units 319, 320, 955, 956. F15C/D are called "Akev". All Israeli F15 versions are called "Baz", exept for F15I "Ra'am".
2)Unit 326, 961, F16D are called "Brakeet". Correct name is "Barak", the same as F16C. "Brakeet" is not a word in hebrew.
3)Some of the HMMWV based units (489,490,343,363,410) are called "Siyur". The word "Siyur" means partol/recon, and dose not signify a specific vehicle. A "Siyur" can even mean a foot patrol. IDF calles the HMMWV by its civilian name Hummer.
Other errors:
4)All Merkava FO tanks have the same icon. There is no Merkava 4 FO unit.
5)LAHAT is avilable from 2006(units 066,069), although so far no official word about it entering service.

Exclamation Re: Minor errors in Israeli OOB

I had some time this morning and since this error report was laid out like it's supposed to be I had a look at all this and everythings been corrected but the last one

Quote:

We frequently have players quote Wikipedia like it's the bible of information and given how it's put togther it's always highly suspect but it can be a good starting point to find other references but I generally avoid it like the plague so I find it somewhat amusing to be using it now but I do so only to point out how information on current weapons systems isn't always easy to find OR reliable

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LAHAT

according to Wiki the LAHAT is not only in service with Israel but also Croatia, India and Germany as well << !! >> and has been from 1992

It's also why it's a lose-lose game when OOB designers "guess" about the introduction dates of weapons systems in development. The M8 rifle in the US OOB is a shining example of that. If we don't add things that are supposedly going to be issues a few years down the road somebody complains . I've seen complaints that we add one particular power blocs new and developing toys but not another's when really many of these things were added in a few years ago when today was the future

But, I digress...

Have you heard any "buzz" as to when this might actually be ready for service? We have it in Indian Service in 2013. Any thoughts on maybe 2009 for Israel...... 2010 ??

Default Israeli OOB Update: F-35 JSF?

As always to take with a whole wheelbarrow of salt, but whorth some follow-up next year:

Israel has signed a Letter Of Request for 25 F-35s to be delivered in 2014. A formal contract should be signed in 2010.
(If all goes well, of course)

Right now the Israeli OOB includes the F-22 as of 2018 as unit #328.
In my opinion it would be a safe bet to replace this unit with a version of the F-35 with radio code 91 starting 2015-2016, as the F-22 doesn't have much export opportunities as things stand now.
