Polls
I love polls. I always go back and check out the results. I like to see how many people are smart and agree with me (Hah). When I read through the threads, almost everyone says they like polls.
But!!! No matter what the poll is, there is always some dispute/disagreement/interpretation of the results. And for the most part we are all like minded people. If you think about it, it is scary that in all (assumption on my part) democracies, the politicians make decisions and run the country based on polls. Just imagine the results of a poll where most everyone has no idea what the question is about, the name of the governor of their state/province or other essental information. It would like dropping a Dominions poll in the middle of a Halo 3 forum and having our beloved Swedes basing the next patch on the poll results.
Just another weird thought from an old man.

Re: Polls
Fortunately we are dictators and never listen to the people or polls. Instead we have informers that tells us of what your loves and vulnerabilities are. Then we set up rigged games where we can give our informers exploits where it hurts you the most.
Still, polls are fun

Re: Polls
Yeah, it's terrifying to think about elections and the intelligence/ignorance of the electorate.
Here's a quote I like from Churchill
"Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried."
I'm not against democracy, I just wish people would spend as much time learning about issues and candidates as they do learning about pokemons and Britney Spears.
Yeah, sorry for being off-topic.

Re: Polls
Democracy is on-topic. EA Arco is Classical Greece, which had democracy, and EA Ermor is the Roman Republic. Maybe those nations should get special "politics" events.

Re: Polls
MA Ermor and LA Ermor are also the Roman Republic... after the republic.
There was democracy in classic Greece, but to my knowledge that was only in Athen.

Re: Polls
Sparta was another noted democracy, although theirs had more in common with the Roman Republic than the Athenian democracy. Also, Zylithan, if that is your opinion than I would suggest reading some of the works of John Stewart Mills, who was famously against what he called "Tyrany by majority."

I'm convinced the game is so good because the dev's don't take themselves very seriously.
There is nothing like a lot of ego to screw up a perfect plan.

Re: Polls
KO : Doth that mean no poney or girafs ?
In France(and I think in some other places ) we have a true democracy : at least 40 % of people vote...

Re: Polls
I prefer Girafs!
They are tall like me!
They are smart like me!
They are cute like me!
They almost look like Meese!
