Default Forum Bugs!

This forum software has some serious problems with 'backtracking'. I accidently forgot to put my password into an edit and now I cannot edit anything because something got bollixed by using the "back" key. Every attempt to edit now gets the "you forgot to fill out some of the required fields" message even though I did NOT forget. Does it set a cookie for this type of error or something?

Under preferences you can set a cookie, otherwise you have to type it in every time.

Also (not that it really mattrs) am i the only on to submit a mssage at, say 3pm, and then go back to the thread and see "posted 14 June 2001 14:48" - the forum seems to be about 10 minutes slow...

As an example, this messag is being posted at 08:56 exactlty, GMT. Friday 15th June

"Uh, I think so, Brain, but balancing a family and a career ... oooh, it's all too much for me. "

That's likely just the server clock being off. I've never seen a computer's clock keep accurate time over a long period without being synched to an outside source.

I generally don't pay attention to the time of the post, save to compare how long it's been between a post and a followup complaining that no-one has replied to the original.

Cap'n Q

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the
human mind to correlate all of its contents. We live on a placid
island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was
not meant that we should go far. -- HP Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu"
