I can't patch (1.2--->1.35), and........

Dear all:
I can't patch my game from 1.2 to 1.35!!
Does anyone know how to solve it?
My system is Chinese Windows 2000, IBM notebook T20.

And when I play, what I got is only the result of battles, I don't know how my fleet were destroyed! Don't even mention to control my ships.
In the game settings, I did not click on the item: No Tactical Combat.
Did I miss something to get control over my ships in battle?

Any response is appreciated!

Make sure you click tactical combat instead of strategic, and make sure the "auto" button is switched off (bottom left, on the right-side control panel)

Try doing simulated combats to find your problem, too, its less expensive than using real ships.

I play it "SIMULTANEOUSLY" instead of turn-based.
That's why I didn't have tactical combat!

Have you gotten the patch to work yet? You may have to just reload the game from the original CD, and then run patch 1.35. (If you do that, make sure you back up any special files - like if you made changes to the settings/txt file or anything) and probably back up your savegames.

I tried, reinstall the whole game from CD, but the patch still didn't work.....-_-
What else can I do??

How are you trying to install the patch? Just double click on the .exe file and it will install. I had a buddy who kept trying to extract the patch.
