GUI Mod package available for download here.
While waiting for the game to arrive I have been tooling around with the Demo GUI for fun, using my limited graphics knowledge, and come up with the following today.
I'm happy to release them if anyone wants them, but first would like someone who actually has the game to test them at all resolutions.

Re: Three straightforward GUI mods
The 2nd one would be great if you play Atlantis or Oceania, the 3rd for Abysia or Yomi, and the 1st .. yeah, the first .. aahh, I think there will be a place for it

I was just going to ask about this myself. The green cloth is just beautiful.

Re: Three straightforward GUI mods
Try the attachment above the Yes! post. It's 8.5 meg and contains 12 new GUIs so I hope it doesn't break the thread.
Remember to to backup the four original .tga files as suggested in the readme. Also remember that these are recommended for 1280*1024, and that they haven't been tested above that yet.
PDF - I just tried to email these to you but my server didn't like the large attached file, so I figure this might be the best way to get them to you.
The final mods have all had various tweaks, particularly gamma adjustments, over the first screens posted in here. Two in particular have been reworked.
Heat:
Ash:
I also couldn't resist having a last minute fiddle with the default GUI, and have included a brighter version and new button backgrounds for that as well.
New Wood:
With perfect timing the game arrived today, so I'm going to actually play with these things rather than tinker around now. However, I will check back here for feedback.
