OT: Anyone have Baldurs Gate 2 here?
The thing is, i recently acquired Throne of Baals expansion to BG2 in a bargain bin and went to reinstall the game to apply the expansion, then i discovered that my 3rd CD of BG2 have some damaged sectors...
The damaged sectors only damaged 2 files in the CD, and im looking for someone that have the game to see if they can send to me these 2 files, since i own the game and the 2 files are completely useless without the original game i dont think this is piracy, but if this kind of post is not allowed here, i ask the moderators to delete this post...
Anyway, the damaged files are the files AREA150B.BIF and AREA150C.BIF in the DATA directory of the 3rd CD od BG2, so, if you have BG2 and have any way to send me these files, please answer in the thread...
thanks in advance...

Re: OT: Anyone have Baldurs Gate 2 here?
I have BG2 (I think. Pretty sure) but it's been awhile since I played it the disks are probably I don't know where. Anyway I could search for them if necessary, but as I said I haven't got a clue where they are, they may even be in storage. I'll shall check here tomorrow if anyone else has easier access. I work tomorrow so it wouldn't be till tomorrow night that I could search and then if it is in the storage shed there is no light to look.

Hello Randallw!
Ill wait for you to find the disks, or, if anyone here can find their disk sooner, please post in this thread...
Anyway, there is no problem for me to wait, as, even with the defective files, the game installs and plays normally, i only wish the files for when i reach the part of the game that they are used (dont know if it is in the start, middle or end game)...
Thanks

I've got a Baldur's Gate II which has 4 CD's. I'll get with Makinus to get him the files he needs.
Makinus - send me a private message.

Re: OT: Anyone have Baldurs Gate 2 here?
BTW, I recently picked up BG 1 & 2 for cheap, having never played them but having heard they were good and since I don't mind old graphics. I had a similar problem immediately even though the disks were pristine, and found the solution eventually but don't remember it entirely. Looked like a corrupt CD but was actually some sort of bug due to the huge number or size of files. It was with BG 1 I think, and had to do with the BG 1 installer being programmed for older file systems and not being able to handle the idea of installing the whole pig at once, or something.

I've got BG2 as well, but I've lost one of the CDs, so I'm keeping an eye out for it in the bargain bin for it. Pay for it again you say? Happily, I say. Despite it's age, BG2 is quite easily the best RPG ever made and is my all time favourite game. Makinus & PvK, you're in for a treat.

I have an xbox with Baldurs Gate 2, so sorry. They're probally on the xbox disk somewhere, though, so I could look and see if those two files are there.

I've got the two files you're missing, they're about 16 Meg total so I'd have to send them to you thru one means or another, do you have any suggestions ?
