One-way WP\'s in the map editor?
I'm at work, so I haven't got a chance to play with the new editor... but can you tell me if you can place one-way warp points?
I never thought they existed until the Last game I played where I found one!

Re: One-way WP\'s in the map editor?
You can creat one way wp's by making one end very damging to ships and the other end normal. that way you can go in to a system but it will cost you to come out.

Re: One-way WP\'s in the map editor?
No that's not what I meant... I had a REAL one-way WP in my Last game... one system had a WP to the other, but the other system had no corresponding WP (you just emerged in empty space). The "recieving" system was a nebula BUT I had sensors able to defeat the nebula's cloaking.
One stange thing was that you didn't see the "line" showing that the two systems were connected on the Galaxy map... UNLESS you were in the system, in which case you saw the WP line connecting the two systems.
No-one else had an experiance like this?
(I can't bost the saved game since I'm using a BIG custom mod... the saveed-game would freak under a normal installation (i.e., ships with 40 engines!)
And Dracus, your idea is not a 1-way WP... since the ships would either be deystroyed entering the WP or exiting the WP... it's a 0-Way WP

Re: One-way WP\'s in the map editor?
Actually, the ships would probably only be damaged if they ended their turn on the damaging end. (if it works like black hole damage) It would be a two-way warp point in almost all circumstances.

Re: One-way WP\'s in the map editor?
To add a normal warp point in the editor, you have to place a WP in both systems with the destination set to the other WP. To creat a one-way warp point, you probably just create a WP in one system and don't do the other end.
