Re: OT : Your Wargame Memory
1- I believe it was called Axis and Allies Europe.
2- Never actually OWNED one... :O
3- See 1.
4- See 2.
5- Well, the guy who introduced me to it still has it...
6- Played Axis and Allies with the European and Pacific boards connected, so we had an entire world map... started playing at around 9PM, and finished sometime around 10AM the next morning... I would have to say the combined game is the mostest fun
7- I believe it was freshman year of high school, so that would mean I was 14.
8- My first game of chess was at age 6. I'm still not that good, I think my rating is somewhere around 1200; I can beat a beginner, but not much beyond that, I don't have the theory training.

Re: OT : Your Wargame Memory
chess is a good thing to teach kids when they are very young, it makes them use their minds to figure things out. I'm trying to teach my 5yr old granddaughter, its slow going but we'll see
