Re: new pc help plz.
I noticed the same problem when I first ran SE on my new system. Just learn to live with it.
Fortunately the slowing down of the game isn't that bad.

Re: new pc help plz.
This comes up once and a while, some suggestions:
Reboot, and see if the problem is still there. Sometimes, if you've run Window's Media Player once before you run SE4, video is slow in SE4.
See if CD music is the cause. Maybe you could play CD music on with your old system, but a slowdown on your new, better, system could be due to a diferent hardware interface. If CD music is on, be sure a data only CD (for example, anither game) isn't in the drive. That really slowed down SE4 when I upgraded to WinXP
Tweek some random video settings or SE4 settings. Beats just living with the problem.

Re: new pc help plz.
Why wouldn't it make any sense?
I tried playing Blood 2 on a computer with Win '98 and a 3,0 GHz processor under the hood. It was soooo slow you could classify it as permanent bullettime, or something like a gelatine atmosphere.
The computer tends to spread the workload, so it spreads the small amount of work that SE requires over an enormous amount of subprocessors. The distributing and combining of the information takes longer than if only half those processors were involved in the work. It's just the nature of the beast. 3,0 GHz processors weren't designed to play SE, they were designed to play Unreal Tournament or Doom 3 on full settings.
