My PBW games
I have not yet been able to iron out the difficulties I have been having, either with my ISP/email or accessing PBW. I can occasionally get the main page, but I cannot load anything past that point using either the text or the graphics interfaces. Because I have not been able to participate in these games, I feel I should withdraw from them. The other players deserve the best challenge they can get, not an absent player.
Will the owners of the following games please remove me: Networks II, Enormity, Proportions, and Ankle-Biters. I am also in a KOTH game, which I resign.
I apologize for dropping out. I wish I could continue until replacements can be found, but the nature of the problem does not permit it. My humble apologies for the disruption this causes.

Re: My PBW games
If no one takes your spot, you are welcome to jump back in when the problem is cleared up.
Good luck figuring out that prob!

Re: My PBW games
Have you tried playing with your browser settings at all? What browser do you use? Any problems with other websites? Have you tried the text UI or the Graphic UI? Same problems with both? Would using RTC be an option to stay in your games until you can figure out what's wrong?

Re: My PBW games
Or what about having the turns e-mailed - even if you can't access PBW to change the setting yourself, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard for Geo or someone to get in and do, right?

Re: My PBW games
I'm using IE 6.0, although I've had the same problems using Mozilla, I don't know if RTC would work for me, and I guess I could have game turns sent to my Yahoo address, although I'd have to clear it out very quickly--it seems to re-fill with spam before the server's done deleting the first stack. My concern there was that I'd missed several turns using email send-in--apparently my ISP and PBW's are slow to connect. Probably some territorial war in which all the pawns are the victims.
I have gone through nearly every permutation of the applicable settings in my browser, and nothing works (literally--I took five minutes to write a script which would spew out all the combinations and crossed them out one by one). I did hear from my ISP tonight--they replied to my nag-mail with a general "we're still working on it and we're glad you're still paying us money" response. I've just about given up hope that my mail is still floating around out there somewhere *cue Fievel soundtrack*.

Re: My PBW games
I highly suggest at least trying the RTC. All the files you need for it are on the Gold CD, including the Sun java JRE. Unless you are behind some firewall that blocks the ports RTC uses you shouldn't have a problem with it.
The email is an option, but it's not the most reliable for some people.

EDIT: And by the way, did you try the graphic and Text UI? I didn't see an answer to that question.
