Covet Recon Intel Bug?

I just noticed a strange 'feature' of the Covet Recon Intel Project.

While looking at the Detailed Info of a Planet, I clicked on GOTO, and it took me to the planet, even though the system is still Unexplored. It also listed all other ships and planets at this location in this Unexplored System.

Anyone else notice this strange thing happening?

I am not sure if I understand your post correctely:
You ran a intel recon project and obtained information about an entire system?
Well if this is the case I might use the project after all, because until now I always considered it of low value. And it would be no bug IMO.

does not seem too bad. i mean, that you can recon an unexplored planet without having a system map is silly. but consider that you are doing covert recon on a sector, and the planet on it. so you have a spy on the planet or something. so you can see anything else nearby, like fleets in orbit or moons and such. and if you dont get to know WHERE it is, well, which is worse, having recon of a mysterious planet that you have intel on but dont know where it is, or having a spy report the location of a planet without also turning over a system map?
