Default A godly disease ?

I wonder what happens to a diseased god when he reaches 0 HP. Is he still diseased when called back ?

I only tried recuperative SC gods(like gorgon), and couldn't find an answer in a forum search.

Disease seems to me a major reason not to have an offensive SC god, as he can stumble on disease spamming sites and can get diseased in battle.

I am not sure, but I belive there is a random chance to cure afflictions when called back. Atleast when my pretender dies heavily afflicted it usually comes back with just 1-2 afflictions. This is probably the case for diseased as well.

Thankfully some pretenders can duke it out without magic paths.

I've thrown a pathless Awe 10 wyrm into more head on traffic than I care to think about.

I've had Dragons, etc, get a diseased affliction in battle. Strangely, they still healed HP, maybe because HP got recalculated for dominion changes? And also they did not seem to pick up any additional monthly afflictions.

If you're running a W9 or F9 dragon, it doesn't really matter even if they get bumped way down to W5 or F5 ... the dragons won't make a big difference in combat in the late game anyway, and they'll still be able to get off a few rituals or combat spells.

I'm a big fan of the pathless Awe 10 Wryms too, especially with EA Arco.

Don't forget that regen stops hp loss from disease and lets you heal back up in battle.

I'm not sure how the hp bonuses from dominion interact with not healing due to disease.

And I do love the pathless Wyrm. If you've got enough priests, it's as good as being immortal. Takes a turn of Call God to bring him back, but being out of dominion doesn't matter.

If I recall correctly disease can be very good since it seems to "lock" the effect that dominion has on your hitpoints. So if you get it in +10 dom strenght you can then take that huge boost and wander over to your enemy (and as someone said if you have regen you will heal back up full in battles).

I advise having some type of regeneration as well to reduce the number of additional afflictions.

I might not be clear but thats what i meant by regen (also since you don't want to loose your ability to gain back hitpoints)

I just had a game against the AI where twice I took enemy capitals while they were still strong empires. Turn after turn after turn they kept being called back and I kept fighting them. They tended to have an affliction or two but they would change around each time.
