Original Campaaigns from SP2 Modern Battles
Hello Community! I hope you all had a very Merry Xmas.
I just reinstalled my WinSPMBT CD on my laptop then patched to v8. Got me wondering if the original NATO vs WP campaign is available for download around here. I'm open to alternative suggestions of campaigns/scenarios of European Cold War 70s-90s.
Thanks, and Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all!

If you generate a campaign with NATO or WP nations in whatever year you want you will get a NATO vs WP campaign

Thanks DRG, I am aware of the generator. I was hoping the original campaign from SSI was available for download too.

Re: Original Campaaigns from SP2 Modern Battles
The generator replaces the original and gives increased flexibility but the answer to your question is no, the original campaign from SSI has not been converted to winSPMBT's standards because the generator makes it un-necessary but if you'd like to tackle the project, go ahead

I don't recall, but I have recently installed DOSbox and relocated my original SP2 and expansion CDs. I'll fire them up ASAP and post the name and theme.
Thanks again for the replies. However, what I like about the original campaign is the background story which is huge immersion for me. The generator doesn't do this and therefore too generic.
Happy New Year y'all!

If you still need this; I can fire up my Steel Panthers: Arsenal compilation to see what it was like in SP2 with all the expansions.

Re: Original Campaaigns from SP2 Modern Battles
I was just curious.
IIRC there were;
*USMC Korean War campaign
*US Army Gulf War (1991) campaign
*IDF Yom Kippur war campaign (Golan front).
*Fictional Japanse vs US campaign on Okinawa (???)

Just checked:
Golan Heights 1973 (IDF vs Syria)
Germany 1980 (US Army vs WP)
Desert Storm 1991 (US Army vs Iraq)
Korea 1950 (USMC vs DPRK)
China War 1997 (USMC vs PRC)
Okinawa 1998 (USMC vs Japan)

Re: Original Campaaigns from SP2 Modern Battles
All made by a third party firm (forget the name) for sale as add-on CDs through SSI, so we never received that particular code.
If anyone wanted to make their own versions of these then they would need to do so using the user campaign editor.
