For shipsets, I want to make it as openly available as possible. Since SEV allows for 3 entries per ship size, my plan is to have a Dark Nova-standard shipset type, but also conform to a Neo-Standard (if that materializes for SEV) or even stock shipsets.
The Ground combat idea I can't take credit for. I got the idea and basic template from the Ground Combat Mod (with permission). I don't have the author's name with me now, but full credit has been given within the mod.
Ah, tugboats were something I added late in the evolution of SEIV. Basicly, right from the start of the game you can build a very small ship that has a space yard ability built into the hull. Small ability, about half what a normal SY could do. And the hull is too small to put much of anything else on except C&C and engines. They seem to worked well so there is a very good likelyhood that they will make it into DN5.
Not exactly sure what you mean about the fighters but what I've done so far is have Aircraft troop units be designed for atmospheric combat so they will be better suited than space fighters when fighting in Ground combat. Though I'm sure there will be some tweaking to get that to come across effectively. Hopefully, my beta testers will come up with some suggestions on that
