Actually it is hanging, not quitting. I am going to launch it from terminal and leave it for a few hours to see if I can get more data... After an hour+ it is still hanging. here is more info:
I am on a intel mac.
The following mods all cause freeze-
Worthy Heroes
EA Machaka
Angelic Crusade

I have gone through the Worthy Heroes mod and commenting out the clearmagic commands fixes the issue.
