The land based air craft can be represented better. Not being able to air raid Rabaul from Port moresby is just not reaslit.
I could see a few improvement, like Calcuta as main english base...

_ Add a possibility for land base aircraft from nearby base to reinforce a battle like ship. Why? Because some bases (especailly in the salomon) are close enough for land base...

That is overall strategy (and if you follow that every time I defeat you neat, except for point three that is obvious and lacking), that does not tell you how to send your fleet, or how to slow Japan...

_ for rebasing, it does not always work if say, there are 2 major bases close to your patrol point. ex: Japanese CV fleet in Home island patrol Singapore and rebase to Home Island instead of Formosa....

1/ you need a functionnal base to start the count down
2/ you need to have a combat ship patrolling the area for the convoy to supply the base, the convoy alone does nothing.
