At the start of the game set your pretender on research and go straight for mass flight. Once researched, amass a whole lot of slow undead...

interface for assigning battle orders

Thanks to the tips between turns I found the trick where I can highlight a commander's battle order with my mouse, hold control-x (where x is a number) to store the order then highlight another...
