Questions about uniques techs.
 
If you give new unique tech areas numbers above 4 are the used??
I made two new areas and could not "find" them until I switched the unique number with two old unique technologies. But then these old technologies were not found any more. Of course this could be just coincidence.
What happens if you give two unique technologies the same number? Will you find two technologies at the same time?
Is there any possibility to modify the frequency of ruins except the map editor?

Any answers are greatly appreciated.

There is a way but I don't know how it was done. Ask Hadrian because his MOD has it.

Yes.

You can use any numbers like racial techs, but you need to edit the sector types with those new numbers to make them appear as ruins. If two unique techs have the same number you will get both when you find a ruin; it gives you whatever is assigned to that number. As for ruin frequency I think that's in the sector types file too.

You have to create new ruins in StellarAbilityTypes.txt that have the numbers for the new unique ruins techs you made.

Thank you so much for your answers. I completely missed this and never looked in the stellar abilities file! That was the solution for all my problem.
