No Iran before January 1979??
 

Ok maybe I'm going crazy but for some reason Iran does not show up at all in the scenario editor, campaign/battle generators until January 1979 - no playable pre-revolutionary Iran. In Mobhack the OOB goes all the way back to 1948. I have the latest update to the game. Am I missing something??

Yes probably a patch it shows up from 1949, or have you adjusted it try reinstaling the default OOB

I just re-installed the default OOB - no change. Still no Iran before Jan 1979. Game is new install patched to v6.0,

Are you sure you did not miss a patch the problem is at your end.
Tip for a new install just copy your other install (or backup) to the new location & renaime it. stick a 2 on the end PBEM OOB mod or something. Camo games are super user friendly no CD & no registery items.
Having a backup means after my initial install I have only ever had to update the current patch.
If you do OOB or map scenerio making a second game used for that also saves accidently losing your work when installing a new patch.

YOU MISSED A PATCH.

Specifically the version 4.0 Upgrade patch

When you repatch every one in order ( DO NOT just patch V4 !! ) this "problem" will go away.
