Adding new units and graphics?
Can someone tell me how to add a new unit including graphics please?? Want to add some armored suits (with "legs and torso as hull and turret"), and using already available weapons. Can soemone tell me how to do it?

Re: Adding new units and graphics?
1. Create the BMP images of the icon, then convert them to SHP files using SHP Edit.
2. Create a BMP image for the picture, then convert it to a LBM file using LBM Tool. 3. Edit the OOB using MOBHACK OOB Editor, where you will enter all the data about the unit, weapons, and associate the Icon and LBM picture with the unit. You're done. :) Cross |

Cross, where can I find SHP Edit? I have the icons ready, but need to find that tool.

Re: Adding new units and graphics?
The 'Shp Ed' utility can be found in the games GRAPHICS folder here:
WinSPMBT\Game Data\Graphics This post should help you: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=47320 Though depending on what version of SHP Ed you have, SHP Ed may display about 63 icons instead of about 35. Cross |

Cross,
How do I create a BMP image of an icon? Use an existing SHP? I can't find any way to do that. Create one from scratch? Thanks, Beeg |

Re: Adding new units and graphics?
Or do what I do...... load the icon you want into a unit with MOBHack then press print screen and cut the Icon out and start work on it with your drawing program

Re: Adding new units and graphics?
I recently wanted to add the M36B1 ( M36 on a M4A3 hull ) and the T30 Prototype tank. I added new LBMs used the M36 and M26 Icons and even made a new weapon for the T30. I used F12 for saving and started the Game but none of the two Units showed up ?
Saved it again leaved Mobhack started Mobhack again and they were gone ? Is there something i forgot ? |
Re: Adding new units and graphics?
Did you save off the modified OOB before leaving? - the save inside Mobhack updates the current record in the RAM copy of the OOB.
Saving the updated OOB file to disk is required to save the changes permanently. Andy |
