Name of the current scenario on the interface
Hello,
When I finish a scenario, sometimes at the end of the I wish play again but taking the other side. Unfortunately, sometimes my memory fails and I have a hard time finding the scenario in the huge list. Is it possible to bring up the name of the current scenario in an area of the interface?
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
On the first turn save the game as the scenario number

Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
.......that , or save the game by it's name ( when it's nice and fresh in your memory......) would be the simplest solution to the "problem"
.....then of course, there is always a pen and paper... Don |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
Or opening up a text document on the desktop and entering the name in that..
(I have a "stuff.txt" on the desktop for that sort of thing, saves on post-its) Andy |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
Thanks for the tips
I often try several scenarios at once (4 to 5 rounds) I pursue if I like the scenario. Use a memory aid is a good idea but it remains binding and I'm afraid to forget to record each test number or name of the scenario. Thank you for the answer but it would be very practical (of course if it is not an immense amount of programing for you) Regards Yves |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
If you are "afraid to forget to record each test number or name of the scenario." why do you think you'll remember the scenario name or number any better if we display it at the bottom of the screen ??
It's VERY SIMPLE when saving a game to enter the scenario number as part of the save. Once you get into the habit of doing so the "problem" will go away Don |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
Same goes when playing multiple pbem games.
Rename each with slot # and who or which game, simplifies things greatly:) |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
It's funny no one ever came up with this simple idea: put a text on the map the scenario uses. Do this by loading that particular scenario using In-Game Editor, put a text (that N-like button on the right side), save--->replace the original scenario slot. Probably put that text on the top left corner of the map so that it'll be easily seen: scenario slot number, title, designer, or anything that would fit there.
Maybe a workaround like this could be implemented en masse in the next patch without having to bother knotting there mighty codes around the necks. But if writing a code to show scenario title on the bottom is nothing difficult, that's better. Just a suggestion. |
Re: Name of the current scenario on the interface
I would not particulary want that, at most in one corner hex add the scenario number. Though how hard is it to save the game at the start & name it the scenario number which is what I do
