Looking at the map list I don't see one made of this. Dominions 2 had a really good Europe map, it was very large and you could pack it full of players.

Is there one out there for Dom 3 like that?

There's Eurasia.

If I recall there's also a map of Turkey and the British Isles that were done from satellite images.

My favorites though are the wraparound maps done by Pashadawg, Alexander (Europe - Middle East), Asia Twist (Asia :p), and Bering. Oh and I see there's another he made called Greece Stain.

If you go to llamaserver you can peruse the maps that have been uploaded, it may help you in your search.

Note that you can use most Dom2 maps directly in dom3

I wanted to use the Dom 2 world map for my large(ish) Dominions group. Problem is, the provinces are done "wrong". What I mean is there aren't any unpassable borders, and big obvious break points like mountain ranges are just turned into mountain hexes.

If there was a version of the world map with the province lines as a separate layer, it could be fixed.

I'm playing midguard in a multiplayer at the moment, and while I was experamenting with it a really wanted to play on a map or the eastern baltic, prussia and lithuania region. no suchh map out there tough and i dont have to tools to build one from a satallite image...

In case you Tryfan are refering to Zens version of the Total War Europe map, then I can upload it somewhere tonight. Peter Ebbesen has fixed the map for Dom3, and we've used it in a few MP's (though I quite honestly hate the map for MP :p game can be settled by who gets to start where because of the bottlenecks on the map).

Right, uploaded Zens Europe Map, which was originally for Dominions2. Included in the .rar file is the original .map from Zen, the .tga file of Europe, Peter Ebbesens modified .map for Dominions3 and the original license text from Creative Assembly (whose creation the map image is).
