Ways to Cheat/Epic Game?
 

Right, let's get one thing over with: I am a cheater as well as a believer in the philosophy that 'Bigger is Better'. I make no bones of it, I have absolutely no shame of that fact.

Now that's done, might I ask how one would edit the number of starting points for a Pretender God? I'm tired of those few hundred points I get; I'm not looking to five myself and my opponents 9001 points each, mind you, just enough to have the feeling that REAL Gods are fighting each other, not just a bunch of Sauron wannabes.

Any help?

If you delve into modding the game you could create your own uber mighty pretender god who eats doom horrors for breakfast, then play with that.

Giving male and female titans pathcost 10, starting dominion 10, innate protection 20, rejuvenation (#heals or something) and encumberance 0 should do that. And #gcost 0, of course. Dominion 10 means double hp and awe, protection + items is awesome (see Cyclops), pathcost 10, no need to buy dominion strength and 0 cost means you can get all paths you want to level 3 or so very easily, rejuvenation means nothing will stop you for long and encumberance means fatigue won't stop you. So it's all awesome.

That's a good idea Endoperez, were I playing the kind of Pretender God who likes to go out and killify things, but my playing style favours keeping the guy at home, throwing lightning bolts from afar while his/her Prophet goes out and... 'vigorously preaches' the Holy Writ to the unbelievers (because one way or another, the Holy Word is going into their heads).

Not to say that your idea is unappreciated, though- maybe it would be nice to vary my playstyle a bit. That being said, any way I can modify starting magic paths?

Use #magicskill to alter starting magic. And if you want magic to be even more powerful then give each pretender #gemprod for their favored magic paths.

I would suggest downloading the CBM mod and use that as a template, since it already modifies almost all of the pretender gods.

There's a link to a reorganized modding manual in my sig. Take a look at that. It lists all modding commands and explains how modding works. You can alter magic paths with the command Wauthan mentioned.
