3.15 - Can\'t create game
 

Need a bit of help. After I installed 3.15, I can't create a new game. I press Create new game and select a map. As soon as I select an age, I get an error saying "Not a Dom File" and Dominions is closed. Any idea what is going on?

Sounds like your installation is corrupted and one of your files is not where it should be?

Haven't heard of any other problems with the 3.15 patch so far. Is there anything unusual about your installation? (Like very low harddrive space left)

I uninstalled the game and re-installed the game to no avail. I still get the same error when I try to create a game. Nothing unusual about the installation - plenty of harddrive space available. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could it be that some .map file or .dm file or something that you use has been corrupted? Try coping all maps from the subfolder away, and see if the problem still persists. Trying the game without mods might also do something.

You will have to add in at least maps to actually play, of course, but that'd help you locate the problem.

Which file is it, where it says "not a Dom file"?

Seems like I have fixed the problem. One of my saved games was corrupted. When I deleted all my saved games and reinstalled the game, it worked fine. Seems very odd though that a corrupted saved game would keep me from creating a new game.
